Simple Spinach Salad

Simple Spinach Salad

I am a salad lover! I suppose it started in college and I literally crave my greens. I like to experiment with my salads, thus I will put various fruits, nuts, and veggies on them.  Usually what gets put on my salad is what is currently available in my refrigerator.  Here is the salad I made for my husband and I. I was missing some of my favorite ingredients that I love to add on my salads, so I will share that for another time!

Simple Spinach Salad Ingredients

All Organic Fruits and Veggies (if you can)

Spinach leaves- baby

Chopped Peppers- any color, red, green, or yellow

Chopped Cucumber

Cherry Tomatoes

Sliced Strawberries

Feta or Goat Cheese (non dairy cheese substitutes are yummy too)

Add your favorite salad dressing and enjoy a hearty, light, simple spinach salad- make it for lunch or dinner.   Linked with

Strawberries and peppers–what a festive, creative combination to top a spinach salad!

Carrie, have you thought about adding this recipe to the Spinach Recipe Round Up at Gnowfglins? I’m just an avid reader, but think your twist on a spinach salad would be a refreshing inspiration to others.

Here’s the link, in case you want to check it out: http://gnowfglins.com/2012/05/11/spinach-seasonal-recipe-round-up/

I love salads too and I am glad you linked this one up. I would love to make this with our meal tonight. I have some spinach left over from another salad, I made. This sounds just too good.

Thanks for sharing your recipe at Slightly Indulgent Tuesday! I’m glad to have you as part of our weekly round up. I wanted to share this recipe as part of the healthier highlights but I don’t see a link back to the event. It’s in the linking up guidelines. Do you mind adding one?
Thanks!
