Have You Tried Spearmint Essential Oil?

Spearmint essential oilOh my! I have found a new favorite essential oil to add to my water! I never really ever considered myself a spearmint fan.  I love to chew gum and I always opt for cinnamon or peppermint-never thought much on spearmint, until I tried the spearmint essential oil.  It is very mild in your water, as compared to peppermint. Simply delish!

 Spearmint Essential Oil

Spearmint (Mentha spicata) has a minty, slightly fruity scent, softer than peppermint. A rich antioxidant, spearmint helps support the respiratory and nervous systems and may help open and release emotional blocks leading to a sense of balance and well-being. Spearmint may also be used to enhance flavor of food. Spearmint may balance and increase metabolism, which may help burn up fats and toxins in the body. This oil may help with acne, constipation, depression, diarrhea, digestion, dry skin, eczema, fevers, headache, weight reduction, and more. It acts as an antidepressant by relieving mental strain and fatigue, and by lifting one’s spirits.

How to Use Spearmint Essential Oil

For dietary, aromatic or topical use. Apply to area of concern, or to the soles of the feet. When using as a supplement, put one drop in a capsule or in 4 fl. oz. of soy or rice milk, or add to your favorite beverage (glass or stainless steel container).
