Kids in the Kitchen Link Up Week 30
This week we are making mashed potatoes to go with our hungry man’s dinner. Having all boys in the house, they like their meat and potatoes! Unlike me, who could live on salad and fruits and veggies. The boys and I make a great team in the kitchen. Here is how we turn our potatoes into mashed potatoes- so quick and easy!
Quick and Easy Dairy Free Mashed Potatoes
8-9 organic red new potatoes
1/2 stick dairy free butter (Earth’s Balance Soy Free/Dairy Free)
1/2 cup Almond Milk (add more if necessary)
sea salt and pepper to desired taste
This feeds a family of 4
We like the skin on. Simply boil your potatoes for about 40 minutes-I like to cook them until the skin peels and potatoes crack/split open. Drain the water. We mash our potatoes with a fork. Add your milk, butter and salt. Whip until smooth and creamy. Serve with some MEAT for those hungry boys!
Now, it’s your turn! Share with us- Carrie at Young Living Oil Lady and Kelli at AdventurzinChildrearing your family friendly recipe. What have you been making this week? How are you inspiring your kids to get in the kitchen? Use this time to bond with your children. Cooking is so much fun and many subjects can be discussed right in the kitchen while you are cooking!
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.(1 Corinth. 10:13)
