Kids in the Kitchen Link Up Week 13
Homemade Potato Chips
Like potato chips? Why not make your own! That is what we do. It is fun, quick and easy, not to mention healthier and cheaper. My boys love to make them and they have perfected them. They are delicious! Make them as a snack or have them as part of your meal.
Ingredients:
Organic potatoes- we use the red “new” potatoes
Sea salt
Pepper
Coconut Oil
First, peel 4-6 new potatoes.
Then, thinly slice the potatoes using a mandolin.
Brush oil on the thinly sliced potatoes and sprinkle sea salt and pepper on them.
You can either bake them in the oven or saute them in the pan. If you are using a frying pan, add a tsp of coconut oil. Cook on each side for 3 minutes and them flip to the other side. Flip again until desired crispiness.
Now, it’s your turn! Share with us- Carrie at Young Living Oil Lady and Kelli atAdventurzinChildrearing your family friendly recipe. What have you been making this week? How are you inspiring your kids to get in the kitchen? Use this time to bond with your children. Cooking is so much fun and many subjects can be discussed right in the kitchen while you are cooking!
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.(1 Corinth. 10:13)
